SouthWest Judo Academy is beaming with pride as we cheer on our incredible members who are set to represent Western Australia at the 2024 Australian National Judo Championships on the Gold Coast this weekend. These talented judoka have worked tirelessly to prepare, and we can’t wait to see them shine on the national stage.
Competing Athletes:
- Alyssa Fry – Junior Women, Senior Women, Senior Women Kyu Grades (Under 48kg)
- Olivia Knights – Junior Women, Senior Women, Senior Women Kyu Grades (Under 57kg)
- Emileka Aiesi – Cadet Women, Senior Women Kyu Grades (Under 63kg)
- Georgia Aiesi – Senior Women, Senior Women Kyu Grades (Under 70kg)
- Krystal Thompson – Veterans Women F3 (Under 63kg)
- Sensei Jacob – Senior Men (Under 60kg)
- Peter Hudson – Senior Men, Senior Men Kyu Grades (Under 90kg)
Unfortunately, Kayla Nae will be unable to compete in the Under 15 Girls Over 63kg division due to injury. We wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her return to competition soon.
In addition to our competitors, Sensei Shane will be attending as an Assistant State Coach for the WA Team, while Sensei Jacob and Simon will represent Judo WA and Judo Australia as CEO and Chair, respectively.
