  • on 7 August 2024

Exciting times for SouthWest Judo Academy! Today, our talented members Alyssa Fry and Olivia Knights departed for Macau to represent Australia in the 2024 Macau Junior Asian Cup, set to take place on Sunday, August 11. 🇦🇺🇲🇴🥋

After competing in Macau, Alyssa and Olivia will join a 3-day international training camp, honing their skills alongside top judoka from around the world. Their journey doesn’t end there—they will head to Hong Kong to compete in the 2024 Hong Kong Junior Asian Cup on Monday, August 19. 🇭🇰🏆

Olivia Knights currently holds an impressive world ranking of 22nd in the Junior Women Under 57kg division, while Alyssa Fry is ranked 69th in the Junior Women Under 48kg division. These rankings reflect their hard work, talent, and dedication to the sport.

We’re thrilled to follow their journey and will keep everyone updated over the next two weeks with status updates and livestream links. Thankfully, both Macau and Hong Kong are in the same time zone as Perth, making it easy for us to cheer them on in real time!

Join us in wishing Alyssa and Olivia the best of luck as they represent Australia and SouthWest Judo Academy on the international stage. Let’s show our support for these incredible athletes! 💪👏🌍
