On Saturday, 26 April 2025, a team of emerging athletes from SouthWest Judo Academy took part in the Beginner & Intermediate Competition hosted by the Australian Institute of Judo. It was a fantastic day on the mats, filled with competitive spirit, growth, and strong performances.
We are thrilled to congratulate our medal winners:
- 🥇 Josh Gomes – Gold
- 🥈 Cody Robinson – Silver
- 🥈 Guy De Vos – Silver
A special commendation also goes to Ryan Buttle, who showed outstanding determination and effort to secure a 5th place finish.
The event offered an excellent opportunity for developing judoka to gain experience in a supportive and well-organised environment. We thank the Australian Institute of Judo for hosting such a high-quality competition and providing a valuable platform for beginner and intermediate-level athletes.
SouthWest Judo Academy is proud of all our athletes who represented the club with commitment, respect, and sportsmanship. We look forward to seeing their continued growth on and off the tatami.
